QPR defaults: updates, notices and penalties

Why missed updates need period-specific remediation rather than a guessed automatic penalty.

What should quarterly project updates reconcile?

Section 11(1)(b)–(e) concerns quarterly information about bookings, garages, approvals and project status. Reconcile the public update to the sales register, site evidence and approval record using a common cut-off. A changed inventory or revised sanction can affect several fields; uploading one progress figure does not establish that the full disclosure is accurate.

Keep previous submissions and explain changes. Verify the current MahaRERA deadline direction for the relevant quarter rather than reuse an unverified date from another project or period.

Is there one automatic penalty for every late QPR?

No universal late-upload amount is asserted here. The applicable provision, notice, direction and facts must be checked. Section 61 addresses specified statutory contraventions, while Section 63 concerns failure to comply with Authority orders or directions. An abeyance listing, scrutiny observation and penalty order are different events requiring their own response and evidence.

Prepare a missing-period register, supporting records and a lawful correction plan. Do not backdate certificates or treat a later upload as erasing the earlier default. Outcomes depend on facts and the decision of the Authority or Tribunal.
